Megan King, LMHC (she/her)

Megan is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who received her Masters in Holistic Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Salve Regina University. She has worked in outpatient and inpatient settings providing psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families. Megan specializes in working with adults who are experiencing emotional distress related to anxiety, depression, substance use, and trauma. Her goal is to help clients learn and utilize skills in their day-to-day lives to increase their emotional resilience, and help them move toward the life they want for themselves. Sessions with Megan are a collaborative process rooted in acceptance, compassion, respect, and a healthy dose of humor. 

Megan’s approach draws from evidence-based practices including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
